Autumn

Autumn in South Korea has been shrinking yearly and the trees are exposing their barrenness almost as soon as the leaves started to turn all the pantones under the sun.

A slow drive through the streets of Punggi in search of the best autumn view of the town. The most iconic Fall shot of the area can be seen at the top end of Namwon-ro street along the river.  Where there are two rows of trees along the footpath. To the right, you can enjoy the scenic stretch of the lane exploding with colors.

While exploring the outskirts of town I drove up Therapy road to a nicely constructed boardwalk up the mountain.  There I zig-zagged to the summit while ascending I spotted a tiny black and white bird hopping from branch-to-branch and a squirrel bouncing along on a carpet of golden brown leaves.  I steadily strolled to the top of the mountain where I spent a few minutes observing the vastness of the Sobeak Mountain range.

As fall is drawing to a close the brisk morning walks are getting fewer and fewer as the crispness of the morning air increases and crackles with every step. I noticed the bright red warmth inviting color of peppers hanging on their shriveled up stools standing in the field drying.
